This isn’t a paper review. We’re going to put this bow to work.

Key Features

DeadLock Cam System

The DeadLock system continues to be one of Bowtech’s strongest advantages. Instead of shimming cams or pressing the bow repeatedly, lateral cam adjustment is built in.

That means:

  • Quick micro tuning

  • No guesswork

  • No downtime

For anyone who tunes their own bows — this matters.

Gen2 CenterMass Sight System

For compatible sights, the second-generation CenterMass Sight System is designed to shift more weight toward the center of the bow, improving overall balance.

Grip Lock Technology

With the Bowtech Alliance’s Grip Lock technology, you can adjust the angle of the grip to accommodate your preferred grip angle. No more having to buy after market grips!

Integrate Mounting System

The Alliance 33 supports both standard rest mounting and IMS compatibility. The riser-mounted dovetail Integrate Mounting System locks the rest solidly in place for maximum security and eliminates unwanted movement. It’s designed to work with any rest that offers the IMS option.

Rotating Mods with FlipDisc

Fine-tuning your setup is simple with the Alliance 33. The rotating modules let you adjust draw length without swapping cams or modules—just rotate, lock it down, and you’re ready to shoot. Combined with FlipDisc™ Technology, you can quickly choose between a smooth, comfortable draw cycle or a high-performance setting. No extra parts. No complications. Just complete control over how your bow shoots.

Comfort & Performance Mods

You get two personalities in one bow.

  • Comfort Mod: Smoother draw cycle, softer transition into the valley.

  • Performance Mod: Similar build into peak weight and then it rides peak weight for another 4 inches or so storing more power into the limbs.

    alliance performance side

It’s nice to see Bowtech giving shooters the option instead of forcing one draw cycle profile. Along with the different options of performance and comfort, you can play with max weight and holding weight by adjusting the flip discs to get a killer custom draw cycle that really delivers.

Tuning

Tuning is a not complicated at all with Bowtech’s industry leading technology.

  • Get the Bow to Spec
Bowtech bows normally are delivered to spec, but it’s always good to check. We are mainly talking about your axle to axle measurement here. If it is off, you’ll notice your draw weight may be lower or higher than it should be.
  • Adjusting Cams
With the deadlock cam system, you can correct right and left tears by moving your cams. This system allows you to do it without a bow press. Simply back off the lock screws and move you cam by turning the axel screw the desired direction. It took us only two shots to get it perfect. • Timing
If the cam’s draw stops are not hitting the cables at the same time, you can adjust this by adding/subtracting twists to the cables. Most bows are delivered close to being in sync but it is good to check.

The bottom line is that this bow tunes easily. The deadlock cam system really makes it easy.

Recorded Speeds

Let’s talk real numbers.

With my setup with a d-loop installed and a 350 grain arrow:

  • Comfort Mod: 323 FPS

  • Performance Mod: 335 FPS

These are legitimate speeds, not inflated marketing claims.

The performance mod absolutely moves — but the comfort mod is still very respectable while giving up only about 12 FPS in my configuration.

For a 33” bow, those numbers are strong.

Downrange Performance (20–100 Yards)

This is where the Alliance 33 really shines.

At 20–40 yards, it feels dead in the hand. Minimal vibration. Solid hold.

From 60–100 yards, stability becomes even more noticeable. The 33” axle-to-axle length gives you forgiveness and a very controlled sight picture.

With my preferred comfort mod installed, the bow holds well at full draw. The valley is defined but not jumpy. Back wall is firm.

At 100 yards, consistency is there — assuming the shooter does their part.

Three shots done at 60, 80, and 100 yards. Pretty consistent!

Final Thoughts

The Bowtech Alliance 33 offers the perfect combination of a forgiving axle to axle length and speed. Those factors along with Bowtech’s industry leading tuning technologies make the Bowtech Alliance 33 one of the best bows of 2026. If you’re a hunter who wants real speed without sacrificing forgiveness — or a shooter who appreciates easy tuning — this bow deserves serious consideration.
